Bluum! 7 Miles Per Dollar On Mom and Baby Gifts
My apologies for being a bit quiet the last couple days. There have been some technical issues with a software upgrade that have lead to some issues for me being able to post.
I used to have the best baby gift in the world (at least I thought so). The Pampers website used to sell a monthly diaper supply as a gift. You’d just tell them how many months of diapers you wanted to buy for someone and process payment. Then, the recipient would receive coupons in the mail good for whatever size and style of diapers they wanted at any store. Maybe not the most imaginative, but moms I bought it for always loved receiving it.
Alas, they discontinued that service some years ago and I’ve struggled to find something else as easy as that. The world of miles and points may have lead me there today.
In my AAdvantage shopping newsletter this morning I may have found a suitable replacement, and a lot more creative.
I was initially attracted to the part that said I could earn 7 miles per dollar. It isn’t often there are offers I like which earn that type of return.
Bluum is a service is similar to Birchbox in the ever-crowded “we’ll send you a mystery box of goodies every month” space. You tell them when the expecting mother is due (or when the baby was born) and the sex of the child if you happen to know it. From there, they tailor a box of goodies each month based on where mom is in the pregnancy or the child is in their early stage development. As a parent, that strikes me as kinda cool.
Now I don’t dread trying to figure out what to get for the next person I know getting ready to have a baby.
