At The Movies: Bourne Legacy

Don’t worry, I won’t be reviewing movies on a regular basis.  Heck, I only go to the movies twice a year anyway.

I was/am a huge fan of the first 3 Bourne movies.  I was disappointed when I heard Matt Damon wouldn’t be in a 4th part of the series, but it was likely I would go see the new movie anyway.

Well, my mother-in-law took the kids to her house last minute yesterday, so Michelle and I headed to the theater.  Since it’s still in the theaters, I won’t publish any spoilers about Bourne Legacy.

I’ll just say that it fulfilled the “action requirements” of a Bourne movie, but the plot left me unimpressed.  It didn’t answer too many questions left from previous Bourne movies even though there sill are a few.  There were also some inconsistencies with the original storyline.

All in all, it’ll scratch the Bourne itch for diehard fans, and entertain for action fans.  And, if they come out with a 5th Bourne movie, I’ll plunk down my $20 a ticket to go see it.  Kinda like a modern day 007 movie.  I’m not longer attached to the James Bond character as I had been in the past, but I’m sure I’ll end up watching Skyfall.
