What’s On Your iPad?
I’m always curious what people have on their iPad. I don’t spend a bunch of time hunting for new things, so I have a lot less stuff on my iPad than some people I meet. Here’s a few things (some old, some new) hanging out on my iPad:
Flipboard: It’s supposed to be more for social media, but you can use it to keep track of various news feeds. It’s not a new app, but it’s been discussed at work lately in detail, so I figured it was worth highlighting.
Smash: Okay, not exactly an app. Smash is my new favorite TV show, and there’sNOway I should like it. But, this show is great. The lead character, Katharine McPhee, has an awesome voice and a bunch of the songs are on iTunes. The show itself is a bit soap opera-ish, but it leaves you rooting for McPhee. If you haven’t watched it yet, try the first 3 episodes. After the first episode, I told Michelle I didn’t love it or hate it. By episode 2, I was enjoying and by the 3rd episode I was hooked.
Pic Translator: I’m going to be using this on my iPhone while I’m in Japan the next few days. The app takes pictures of signs and translates them from foreign languages into English. Should work out well, since I don’t speak or read Japanese.
I didn’t get many responses last time, so I’m hoping for some cool new ideas this time.

Ed, for you and others who don’t follow this popular thread on FT, it includes a LOT of good suggestions for both the iPad and iPhone: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/travel-technology/848219-favorite-iphone-ipad-applications.html
Thanks, Cholula. Good idea!
AA, Milepoint (of course!), flightaware, Hotels.com (don’t use for booking, but great for hotel pics and info), google translate, flight tracker pro, southwest (link, not an app), UA, expertflyer link, hipmunk and lots more
carwag, great to see the MP app on there. I love being able to catch up on threads that way. I need to get my flight tracker pro hooked up to Tripit so the family can keep tabs on my flights.
Ed, love my flighttracker pro especially since it links to tripit. flighttracker pro also integrates with the ipad/iphone calendar which is super handy.
