Tour de France: Stage 7
The first mild mountain stage caused the expected shakeup in the peloton yesterday. No big changes amongst the main contenders for the overall classification.
Interesting comment I heard yesterday. When Lance got his flat tire on the cobblestones, he was over a minute ahead of Contador. He ended up finishing a minute behind Contador.
Making up a minute on a great climber like Contador is a tall task, even for the Superman we’ve come to know as Lance Armstrong.
In today’s stage 8, Armstrong was involved in a crash right before the big climb of the day, and is having problems. Not a good sign.
