Geithner for Treasury Secretary

Tim Geithner, president of the New York Fed, will be nominated as Obama’s Treasury Secretary. Some have suggested this isn’t a good idea because of his lack of experience. I actually really like this choice. I can live with the lack of experience (and may be proven wrong on this). I think he makes up for it with his ability to build consensus along with his personality. We’ll see.

It’s also rumored that Bill Richardson is being considered for Commerce. I’m not sure where he belongs, but I think this is an excellent cabinet choice. A great voice for Obama to have on his team.

My goal in life is to fill my family’s passports with stamps, creating buckets of memories along the way.
