Free Donut When You Vote Today. My Kind Of Motivation!

a tray of donuts

Mmmmm, Donuts.  I’m just getting under way on my post series of the best donuts across America, but today is a vote for democracy, er cholesterol-ocracy, um sugar politics.  Look, you can get a free donut when you vote today.  Which you were going to do anyway, right?  Doctor of Credit has the sweet scoop:

Free Donut

Krispy Kreme is giving away a free donut to everyone who comes into one of their stores and shows off their “I Voted” sticker.  For mass market donuts, I’m more of a fan of Dunkin than Krispy Kreme.  I almost find Krispy Kreme a bit too sweet (heresy, I know).  But, I’m making an exception and adding my official recommendation to go grab a donut after you vote.  If it doesn’t make our country better, it’ll at least give you a 15-minute sugar high.

Not A Nationwide Donut Democracy?

Oddly, there are quite a few Krispy Kreme stores not participating.  I guess they don’t believe in democracy donuts:
