Cheap! $300 Fares To Europe And $200 Fares To Iceland. 500 Free Points From Virgin America

Here’s what I’m reading about in the world of miles and points:

Cheap Flights of the Day:

WOW Air is celebrating their new Miami route with $99 one-way fares to Iceland.  There’s only a handful of dates with fares that low, but that’s a great price to Iceland.

They also have some fares to Paris, London and other places in Europe for about $300 round-trip.  You need to be careful of fees but there are some excellent fares to be had.

In Case You Missed It:

You can earn 500 bonus points on virtually all Hyatt bookings this fall.

American Airlines still surprises and delights.  But, is it enough?

Emirates will join the club of airlines that charges for a seat assignment.  This is much more common on international carriers than in the US.

If you’re looking for a good cash-back card, the Barclaycard Arrival Card has a nice increased signup bonus right now.

Delta is serving Shake Shack burgers onboard.  I’m partial to Five Guys, myself.  🙂

Austrian Airlines has announced a route from Vienna to Los Angeles with LOTS of award availability.  I just flew their new business class product for the first time last month and really liked it. I think it’s a solid value for a mileage redemption.

Would you fly to Europe on a 737 if the price was right?  How about $69?  That’s what Norwegian says will be its intro fare when they launch trans-Atlantic service on their new 737 MAX aircraft next year.  I flew Norwegian to Martinique and was pleasantly surprised on my 5-hour flight.  I think there’s a ton of value here, but I’ll be angling for the non-redeye flights if they exist (doubtful).

A really, really good deal to save a ton of cash on Waldorf Astoria and Conrad hotel stays died off about as quick as it was announced.  A great lesson to jump on good deals when you see them. Don’t wait!
