Cheap Flights To Japan, Free Gogo 10 Packs And ATL Wants To Kick Out The TSA

a suitcase with a statue of liberty and buildings

Here’s what I’m reading about today in the world of miles and points:

Cheap Flight of the Day: Flights to Tokyo for under $500!

InsideFlyer Thread of the Day: Gogo is celebrating the Freddie Awards by giving away 10-packs of Gogo passes.  Get on it!

Marriott really wants SPG elite members to be comfortable with their merger.  Really.  They just don’t have any info to offer yet.  I still feel like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs….

Steep discount on Minute Suites through this auction.  Cheaper than a lounge pass.

There’s also a 4-day package for a resort in Southern Italy (the heel of the boot) for less than $200.

Atlanta airport wants to kick out TSA.  It is kind of unfathomable to have that long of a wait with available security lines not staffed.  Maybe nobody told the TSA that Atlanta is the biggest (depending of your definition) airports in the world by passenger traffic. HT: Daniel Palen on FB

Delta’s crying in their beer about Haneda.  Again.

Starbucks is going revenue-based with their loyalty program.  My guess is that most people will probably earn less stars, but coffee is kind of like legalized cocaine.  The customers will still come.  I’ll take a Trentaventi half-caff double-whip folio shmolio latte with a cherry on top.
