Thanks to Mommy Points for pointing out the recent announcement regarding transfer bonuses from American Express Membership Rewards to British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
I don’t currently carry an American Express card that earns Membership Rewards points. I did for a long time but fell out of love with Membership Rewards. I carry a Starwood Preferred AMEX card which is one of my favorites and I’m happy to accrue there.
But, after my sessions at the recent Frequent Traveler University in Tampa, FL, I realized I had a ton of questions from folks about Membership Rewards. So, I want to make sure I do a better job updating all of you that take the time out of your day to follow along my little corner of the internet.
The British Airways bonus is 20% and runs through the end of 2013. There was a bigger bonus earlier in the year, so better opportunities may be on the horizon, but 20% isn’t horrible.
The Virgin Atlantic bonus is 30%. I really don’t recall a recent Virgin Atlantic transfer bonus.
Anyhow, thanks to Mommy Points (my Frequent Traveler University partner in crime) for covering this offer.
