Hyatt Releases More Information About New All-Inclusive Properties in Mexico And Caribbean

It was just about a month ago when Hyatt announced they were forming a partnership with Playa Hotels & Resorts for 13 properties to be added to the Hyatt fold.  6 of those were to be branded with the Hyatt name and we have some clarification on what that looks like.

The first two all-inclusive properties to be branded Hyatt in Q4 of this year will be THE ROYAL Cancun and Barcelo Los Cabos.  THE ROYAL will become Hyatt Zilara Cancun, go through a renovation and be focused speficically as a resort for adults.

Barcelo will be rebranded Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.  It will also undergo a renovation and be focused on families.  There’s some brief detail that Hyatt plans to use the Zilara and Ziva badges on other properties and continue to cater them to adults and families, respectively.

There’s also confirmation of an earlier story, that Hyatt will take over the former Ritz Carlton in Jamaica and rebrand it Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, so assumedly a family resort.

These are all good additions for the Hyatt family.  They have a weak presence in Mexico and the Caribbean now but pick up 3 properties in the next 6 months with (in theory) another 10 to come.

I’m trying to round up some more information about these properties including redemption rates and hope to have more info soon.
