Hyatt is offering a 20% bonus on earning for paid Las Vegas hotel stays at MGM or Hyatt hotels through the end of the year. Here’s how to maximize this promotion…
The Best of the Rest is my effort to summarize all the travel/miles & points stories that interested me on a daily basis but didn’t have time to write about in length. Culled from over 100 blogs/authors I follow, some are passed along without comment, while I add my analysis to others. This is your shortcut to find out what’s going on in the travel world without having to read dozens of travel blogs to get all the best info.
Las Vegas has plenty of hotel rooms and sometimes it feels like there are as many “deals” as there are rooms. The endless supply of deals and packages can be a bit overwhelming. Suffice it to say if you’re paying full price for a hotel room in Vegas you’re likely leaving money on the table (that you could be spending at the tables). For those of you with Hyatt elite status (or looking for an excuse to acquire it), don’t forget that you have a pretty lucrative discount program at […]
Hyatt has a new hotel promotion out that can earn you bonus points in Las Vegas through the end of September, 2015. You can register here. You can earn up to 1,500 bonus points after every 3rd night during the promotion period, which runs until September 30, 2015. Hyatt’s partnership with MGM Resorts/M Life makes earning points in Las Vegas much easier than it used to be, especially at properties you actually want to stay at. If you’re wondering what these properties are like, you can follow along my […]
Hyatt announced a new promotion that can earn you up to 1,000 bonus points per night for stays at any Hyatt or MGM Resorts/M Life property in Las Vegas. The promotion runs through the end of the year, so there’s plenty of time to take advantage of this. You do need to register by October 15th, which you can do so here. And, since registration is free, I always subscribe to the adage that you should go ahead and register now even if you don’t have a planned Vegas stay. […]
Today’s Daily Getaways deal features Las Vegas hotel packages from various MGM Resorts on the strip. In case you’re not familiar, Daily Getaways are daily deals sponsored by the US Travel Association. Some are better than others, so you need to think about whether you can take full advantage of the offer before buying. For the more popular offers, they will sell out quickly, which means being around right when they go on sale each day at 1:00 pm EDT. Some offers will sell out in hours, some in minutes. It’s […]
Spoiler alert! By the end of this post I might change my position that Facebook is the devil’s work. For those that are serious about collecting miles and points, hanging around communities like Milepoint, it’s generally about getting the most value out of a specific situation. At our hearts, we’re deal junkies, always looking to find a way to eke out just a bit more from an unbelievable opportunity. When my best friend told me about the MyVegas game on Facebook, it sounded like the type of thing that was […]
If you’re one of those folks who likes to use miles and points for your vacations, Vegas has always been something of, well, a desert without any water. Sure, you can find flights to Vegas using miles. But, what about hotels? Generally speaking, you’re going to be relegated to a third-tier hotel off the Strip. There have been a few exceptions over the years. Notably, Starwood used to have a relationship with Planet Hollywood right on the Strip. And, you can still stay at a Westin near the Strip, though […]
