Just another thing to be careful about when it comes to Basic Economy fares. Now that the Big 3 are all in the pool when it comes to offering bare bones fares, here’s another pitfall to consider.
The Best of the Rest is my effort to summarize all the travel/miles & points stories that interested me on a daily basis but didn’t have time to write about in length. Culled from over 100 blogs/authors I follow, some are passed along without comment, while I add my analysis to others. This is your shortcut to find out what’s going on in the travel world without having to read dozens of travel blogs to get all the best info.
I carry 3 Chase cards in my wallet at all times for a reason. Ultimate Rewards is one of the best currencies out there for earning and redeeming points for award travel. Chase just quietly made Ultimate Rewards better.
Not really sure what happened, but I had this scheduled to post over the weekend and it never did. Operator error? Anyway,in case you missed the news…. These aren’t referral links, just some of my favorite cards. To the best […]

While there are periodic promos for more miles/points when you dine, they’re generally targeted to specific restaurants, such as through the dining programs the airlines offer. 2 points per dollar can be found elsewhere, such as the Hyatt Visa. 3 points per dollar is especially valuable here since Chase Sapphire is such a solid card, earning […]
