Sorry Things Have Been A Bit Quiet Lately

You may have noticed things were a bit quiet over the last week or so.  My family and I were down in Orlando hitting the amusement park circuit.  There were days at Disney World, days at Universal Studios, a few water parks and lots of fun.  I’m no spring chicken, and the week really wore me out.  We even took it a lot easier than we normally do to avoid some of the, ahem, tantrums of the last trip.

I had budgeted time each day to keep up with work and also blog while we were gone. Alas, work took up more time than I was expecting.  And, I haven’t figured out how to manufacture more time.  I wasn’t goofing around, I promise.  Okay, maybe just a little.

What’s Next?

I want to get back to blogging on a daily basis.  We have a few more family trips, and there’s work travel coming up quicker than I’d like it.  But (to paraphrase Stephen King), I feel an obligation to you, constant reader.  No, not in some bad way.  I enjoy talking about travel.  So much, I started a podcast.  The topic?  Travel, of course.  We publish a new podcast each week.

Between the blog and podcast I’ve got enough to keep myself busy.  While I had gotten in the habit of blogging twice a day, I’ve also seen how much time a podcast can take.  Side note: I’m planning to launch a second podcast.  Because, well, I’m kind of nuts.  Stay tuned for more info on that!

The Final Two (Tired) Pennies

I’ve got a few days of rest before things complicated again, in a good way.  And, I’ve got plenty to get caught up on in the blogging world.  Like wondering if the deal of the year will actually be honored.

For now, I hope you’ll take a listen to last week’s episode where my wife and kids chimed in for the first time (live!).  I also got a chance to catch up with my friend Summer, who I love talking family travel with.

I have so much energy to talk travel, just not enough hours in the day.  Here’s hoping you enjoy what’s to come as I expand my corner of the travel world just a little bit more.  It’s going to be fun!
