GREAT DEAL! ~$600 Round-Trip Flights To China In Premium Economy!

a large archway in a city

Just in time for Christmas (though not in time for a Hanukkah gift), buy yourself or a loved one a really cheap flight to China.

Right now you can get $614 round-trip flights to Beijing in premium economy.  I saw this first on View From The Wing (though it’s original from The Flight Deal).

Gary has outlined premium economy tickets under $700 from Chicago, Boston, Baltimore and Phoenix.  And, that’s on top of $2,000 business class tickets to Beijing. That’s a great deal, but may be a bit rich for some.  That’s where this premium economy deal comes in.

Delta’s new premium economy product on their A350 is pretty nice, though I haven’t flown it yet.  It’s a much more comfortable way than economy to fly long-distance.

View From The Wing details some of the key notes you need to book these fares:

  • Travel permitted Monday through Thursday for each transpacific flight
  • Outbound travel must commence by February 19, or between March 5 and April 29
  • You’re allowed a stopover in Detroit for $100
  • Tickets must be purchased by December 29, but I don’t know that the fare will last that long
  • Non-refundable with a $300 change fee

Make sure you’re flying the Airbus A350 for the Detroit – Beijing segment which has real premium economy and not ‘Comfort+’ extra legroom seats (which is what you’ll see on the Airbus A330).

The Final Two Pennies

The important thing to remember with any fare sale is not to think of this as “Chicago to Beijing”.  This is from the US to Asia.  There are enough US cities this departs from that you should be able to find cheap positioning flights to get started.  And, there are enough carriers in China to get somewhere else if you don’t want to hang out in Beijing.

Since these flights originate in the US, you’ll have 24 hours after you book to cancel these flights and receive a full refund.  That means if you’re on the fence you should probably book something and then cancel within 24 hours if you decide not to take the trip.  With prices this low, I don’t expect them to last much longer!

Happy Hunting!
