Cheap Cross-Country Flights! Less Than $100 One-Way From New York To Southern California

a sign outside of a building

There was a time when $200 round-trip flights between New York and Los Angeles were available on a somewhat regular basis.  Heck, even my home market of Washington, DC used to have their fair share.  Now, it seems like it’s easier to get to Europe for $99.

For folks in New York or Southern California, Dan’s Deals just covered a $99 fare from JFK to Long Beach (and vice versa).

These fares are available from November through February in both directions.  And, as Dan notes, these aren’t Basic Economy fares.  One of the best things about JetBlue flights is completely free and wickedly fast Wifi.  It’s why I wish they had more flights out of my home airport of Washington-Dulles.

The Final Two Pennies

I’d jump on these fares if you’re thinking about a trip.  Long Beach is a lot less congested than LAX.  I do everything I can to avoid LAX right now (and probably for some time to come).  Remember that if you’re purchasing a ticket that originates or terminates in the United States, you have 24 hours after booking to cancel and receive a full refund.  If you’re on the fence, book before the prime dates disappear.  Just be sure to cancel within 24 hours if you change your mind.
