A Ride To Remember On Father’s Day

This might seem a little cheesy, but I really appreciated the video Uber just sent out for Father’s Day.  Uber’s been in the news for quite a few unpleasant things recently.  Whether this video is an effort to show a softer side of the company, I just appreciated the story.

It’s about a father/grandfather who is having trouble getting around due to his age.  His son and grandson get him a special Uber, the first car he picked up his wife of over 60 years in.  It’s worth a quick watch:

The Final Two Pennies

Maybe it’s just because I’m a sentimental dad, but the video made me smile.  And, on a Father’s Day with my family, that’s a good thing.

  1. Ed. For my parents 40th anniversary party, I had them picked up in a 1940 Cadillac, which was the year they were married. They had the same reaction. I loved the Uber video. Thanks for being cheesy.
