Cheap Flights! Under $300 Round-Trip To Europe!

Eiffel

It’s been a few days since I’ve seen great fares to Europe.  Months used to pass before seeing the sort of deals we see on a weekly basis nowadays.  Even though it’s been a few days, we seem to be right back in the thick of it with two great deals.

Dan’s Deals has the details on a $296 round-trip fare from New York to Paris.  This one is on British Airways/Open Skies, which means you’re likely to get a bit more when it comes to onboard amenities.  The carry-on and checked bag allowance is likely to be more generous than a low-cost carrier like Norwegian or WOW Air.

If you don’t live in the New York area, there are still lots of cheap ways to get there.  Amtrak works great for folks located along the seaboard and you’ve also got multiple airports to choose from for cheap flights to the region.

A couple of general notes when booking British Airways flights to save money.  You can stack an AARP discount along with a 10% discount for booking with the British Airways Visa Card.  All the details on both of these discounts are detailed here.

The fare Dan’s Deals is touting is mostly for non-summer travel and requires a Saturday stay.

The Flight Deal has details on a $400 fare that covers a much wider variety of cities for summer travel.

Departure cities on American and/or Delta include:

  • New York
  • Boston
  • Philly
  • Miami
  • Los Angeles
  • San Francisco
  • Portland
  • Seattle
  • Dallas

Those fares will get you to great cities like Amsterdam, Rome, Paris, Milan, London, Madrid and more.

Cheaper fares from the West Coast certainly pop up less often.  Given the summer travel dates, these are great fares to consider.  Really resourceful elite travelers might even be able to redeem a systemwide upgrade to turn these cheap coach fares into a screaming deal for a business class seat.

The Final Two Pennies

Don’t think of a New York to Paris fare sale as “New York to Paris”, or any other two city pairs for that matter.  Think of it as “US to Europe” and use cheap flights or miles and points to cover that last leg to your dream destination.  Similarly, when fares are this cheap, leverage your points to save on hotel rooms to give yourself a truly affordable trip to Europe.

Paris is centrally located.  In less than a 3-hour flight gets you to all kinds of interesting places, like Rome, London, Greece, Germany, Amsterdam and a whole lot more great cities.

Happy Hunting!
