Here’s what I’m reading about in the world of miles and points:
Cheap Flights of the Day:
Alaska Airlines has fares to LAX for just over $200. These are absolutely the sorts of fares that will earn you a lot more miles flying Alaska versus Delta, United or American. It’s why you should be considering whether Alaska is a good fit for you in 2017.
In Case You Missed It:
Alaska Airlines has introduced a bunch of low-mileage flight redemption options. Here’s a great chart that breaks down how many miles it takes to fly on Alaska.
SAS says they’re discontinuing their relationship with a bunch of contract lounges. The stated reason is so they can focus on better lounges in major cities. There aren’t too many major cities on the list. Dublin strikes me as one of the larger on the list. Venice, Dubrovnik and Nice fill out the list with some others.
Don’t forget to check your American Airlines Business ExtrAA account before the end of the year. I actually have an overdue reminder to deal with mine.
Tiff has details on the latest round of mileage bonuses from shopping portals. Plenty of miles to be had!
