I’m Thanking You Today, And I’ve Got 100,000 Miles Burning A Hole In My Pocket

I spend so much time on the road throughout the year.  I’m so thankful to be home with my family today.  There’s a fire going in the fireplace and the kids are watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  The turkey is in the oven and I’ll be doing some more cooking shortly after I finish this post.

I’ve been writing this blog since 2008.  Back then, it was just my daily musings.  I wrote about whatever I wanted, not just travel.  I can recall when the new train was getting ready to open at Washington-Dulles Airport.  I was able to sneak in and get some early pictures.  Over 100 people showed up that day to read my blog post.  I couldn’t believe it.  That’s what makes it even more incredible that thousands of folks show up here every day to read what I have to say.

For that, I’m thankful.  You’ve probably seen my occasional giveaways to readers, but today I’m paying it forward.  It won’t cost you anything to help, but I do need a bit of help from you.

You may have read this morning that I donated 25,000 miles to help someone in need get home for the holidays.

Abroaders is helping tons of people get home for the holidays, and I want to help spread the word.

I’ll be donating 100 miles through Abroaders for each of these activities today (spread the word) up to a total limit of 100,000 miles:

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. A few of us have been around from the beginning, and enjoy reading the blog. Thanks for making the donation. I hope it cost you a bundle of miles. 😉
