Don’t Forget To Join Our DC Travel Meetup This Week

On Tuesday, October 25th,  my partner in crime Jeanne from Le Chic Geek and I will be hanging out at Dino’s Grotto in Shaw.  Well, at least I’m told it’s Shaw.  From the days when I worked in DC, we called that Capitol Hill.  We’ll be there starting at 6pm talking all things travel.  And, considering Jeanne got up on stage and sang with the band at the last happy hour, there might be a few non-travel subjects covered!

As an aside, while “we” (Jeanne and I) host these happy hours, she’s really doing the lion’s share of the work to put them together.  I’m perpetually swamped with things to do, as are we all.  And, I’m incredibly thankful that Jeanne continues to pick up my slack and make these events awesome.

You need to pre-register since we’re close to running out of space.

Our last happy hour in Crystal City saw close to 100 people join the party!

DC Travel Meetup

This is a great time for newbies and experts alike to come ask questions and/or trade strategies.  You’re only a newbie if you don’t ask questions, so come out and learn some more about our crazy obsession hobby.

Bonus Promotion

In the theme of airlines and hotels offering something just a little extra for your loyalty, I’m offering up two bonus promotions for this Happy Hour:

  1. If you’ve been to one of the previous happy hours, Tweet meInstagram me (is that the right terminology?  I’m so friggin old) or tag me on Facebook with a picture from one of the happy hours.  If you’re one of the first 5 folks to do so, I’ll buy your first drink.
  2. If you’ve got a sticker from an airline (any airline), I’m collecting some for a friend (and my kids).  I’ll be giving away free drinks to the first 5 folks who bring an airline sticker for me.

Somehow, Jeanne keeps getting me to willingly agree to happy hours further and further away from my house, but we’re going to try to rectify that with the next one.  Until then, I really hope you’ll join us for our next travel meetup.  It’s a smaller venue, so we might actually fill it up completely with frequent travelers!

I’ll be there.  Will you?
