20% Bonus Points On MGM And Hyatt Stays In Las Vegas

Hyatt is running a promotion that allows you to earn 20% more Gold Passport points on Las Vegas hotel stays through December 29, 2016.

Las Vegas

You do need to register for the promotion, which will cover stays from October 19th, 2016 through December 29th, 2016 at the following properties (I linked to reviews I’ve written on a few of these):

There are so many great restaurants and shows across the MGM properties that the 20% bonus is a big plus.  If you’re not aware, you can charge meals (and shows, retail purchases, etc) to your room no matter which MGM property you’re at.  Dining at Yellowtail at Bellagio while staying at Mandalay Bay?  No problem, just charge to your room and earn 20% more points.  It’s a nice perk that you don’t find at many regular hotels worldwide, where the hotel restaurants usually aren’t the feature attraction in a particular city.

I’m pretty sure this will stack with the 500 point bonus for booking through the Hyatt mobile app.  Update: I’ve confirmed with Hyatt that you can combine the 500 point mobile booking bonus with the 20% off promotion. The downside to booking through the Hyatt channel is that you may not see all the available room types.  Booking through MLife will generally show you more options.

This will most definitely stack with Hyatt’s current promotion where you can earn up to 75,000 points.  Make sure you’ve registered for that as well.  For those of you that want all the bits and pieces, here are the T&C:

To be eligible to participate in this promotion, you must register by December 29, 2016 and be a member of both Hyatt Gold Passport® and M life Rewards. Membership in both programs is free and can be obtained through goldpassport.hyatt.com and Mlife.com.

To earn Hyatt Gold Passport points, you must provide your Hyatt Gold Passport membership number and M life Rewards membership number at check-in, be a registered guest physically occupying the room to which you are registered, and choose to earn Hyatt Gold Passport points for your stay. After registering, you will earn a twenty percent (20%) Hyatt Gold Passport point bonus for all Hyatt Gold Passport base points earned during an eligible M life-Eligible Stay or an eligible stay at Hyatt Place Las Vegas between October 19, 2016 and December 29, 2016 (“Promotion Period”). An M life-Eligible Stay is defined as (i) any stay where payment is made directly to a participating MGM Resorts International Las Vegas property, (ii) any stay booked through hyatt.com, or (iii) any stay booked through a Hyatt Global Contact Center. In order for Hyatt Gold Passport members to receive Hyatt Gold Passport points, the bill for charges must be in that member’s name and member must pay for all charges. Points earned pursuant to the twenty percent (20%) bonus are bonus points. Earning points under this promotion on rooms at participating M life resorts and Hyatt Place Las Vegas is subject to the Hyatt Gold Passport program Terms and Conditions. Hyatt Gold Passport members will only receive points for qualifying charges after the member has checked out of the property.

Please allow two to three (2 – 3) weeks after submitting your qualifying stay for the bonus points to be posted to your Hyatt Gold Passport account.  Hyatt Gold Passport reserves the right to alter or withdraw this promotion at any time without notice. This promotion is subject to the complete Terms and Conditions of the Hyatt Gold Passport program. For complete Hyatt Gold Passport program terms and conditions visit goldpassport.hyatt.com. 1. Allison, I visit Vegas frequently. I’d say that you’re right more often than you’re wrong, but I’ve still seen a decent number of times where Hyatt had same/better rate on a room type. Always worth checking both, IMO.
