Cheap Flights to Central America, New Discount Flights To Europe And Free Steak!

a close up of a keyboard

Here’s what I’m reading about in the world of miles and points:

Cheap Flights of the Day:

$300 flights to Panama, totally worth exploring if you’ve never seen the canal.

In Case You Missed It:

Should recent Hyatt changes make us nervous?

Donuts Across America

Discount international airline WOW Air is adding more service to the US.  That’s good news for folks hoping to see the world on a budget, even if you don’t fly WOW Air.  Competition should help hold down prices on certain routes.  If you’re curious about WOW Air, Deals We Like details her experiences.

$25 off at Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

American Airlines is adding seasonal service to Amsterdam and Rome from Dallas.  It still surprises me how little service American has to a city like Rome.  They currently only offer seasonal service from New York and Chicago.  This will be summer-only service, which won’t help much.  But, it’s better than nothing for folks looking to book awards, especially those who live on the west coast who won’t have to connect in JFK.

A woman got a free Amtrak ticket in one of the weirdest ways I could imagine.

NTSB crash investigators are upset about how they’re portrayed in the new movie “Sully”. This was interesting to me, given how publicly lauded Capt. Sully was for the successful water landing.  Hat tip to Cranky Flier for calling my attention to this.

Last day to register for double elite Marriott credits if you DON’T live in the US.

Congratulations to Frequent Miler on 5 years of blogging.  Still jealous of that Necker Island trip!

What do you when your airline bans your phone.  For real.
