Reminder For Hyatt Elites To Save Money On Vegas Hotel Rooms

a black and grey logo

Las Vegas has plenty of hotel rooms and sometimes it feels like there are as many “deals” as there are rooms.  The endless supply of deals and packages can be a bit overwhelming.  Suffice it to say if you’re paying full price for a hotel room in Vegas you’re likely leaving money on the table (that you could be spending at the tables).

For those of you with Hyatt elite status (or looking for an excuse to acquire it), don’t forget that you have a pretty lucrative discount program at the MGM resorts properties.  It’s one of the best benefits of the partnership Hyatt and MGM Resorts launched a couple of years ago. Hyatt Gold Passport elite members are given elite status in the M Life program which rewards MGM Resorts customers.  Along with some typical casino benefits, you’re also entitled to room discounts.  Here’s the pricing for an upcoming weekend in Vegas if you’re not an M Life member:

And, the pricing when logged in as an M Life Platinum member (status you can receive as a Hyatt Diamond member):

30% discount at Bellagio, 27% discount at Delano.  When I’ve called the M Life phone line to make reservations I’ve also been offered food & beverage credits, spa treatments and other benefits.  I don’t hold these out as the “best” discounts in Vegas because there are just way too many to keep track of.  But, I’ve gotten some pretty great prices, especially during conferences like CES when rates are much higher.

If you’re curious about the MGM Resorts properties, I’m in the process of reviewing the rooms for all of them.  You can read my progress so far with reviews on:

If you’re an elite member with Hyatt Gold Passport, don’t forget to check these discounts before you book your next hotel stay.

  1. Thanks Ed, would you use the MLife or Hyatt portal to book a room(s) knowing about the current Hyatt promo? Or is it YMMV?

    1. RZ, I need to update my post about the new Hyatt Las Vegas promo, but you can’t stack the Las Vegas promo with the summer promo. However, booking through Hyatt is required for the Las Vegas promo. In the past, I’ve been able to get credit with Hyatt for rooms booked through M Life when it comes to seasonal systemwide promos, but I haven’t booked a room in Vegas for the current summer promo.
