When you have a daughter that likes princesses and you end up at Disney World, you’ll spend a lot of money on “character dining”.  While the best food in the Magic Kingdom is at Be Our Guest in the new Beast’s Castle, you’ll need to take your princess-in-waiting for her opportunity to dine at Cinderella’s Royal Table.  They serve all 3 meals here, but lunch and dinner tend to be a better quality meal for the price.

After a couple of times there for breakfast, we decided to mix it up and try lunch and were pleasantly surprised with the offerings.  Here’s the full menu:

We tried the short rib and the chicken breast and found both to be really good when you consider the quality of food in Magic Kingdom.  If it wasn’t for Be Our Guest, this would be the best sit-down meal in the park.  The short rib was moist and flavorful.  Certainly not the best short rib I’ve ever had but above my expectations.  Michelle thought the chicken breast and risotto were very well-prepared as well.

It came time for dessert, and we ordered “The Clock Strikes Twelve” which is a white and dark chocolate mousse dessert.  They also featured some miniature desserts in cones that the kids really enjoyed.

And, of course, along with your extortionate pricing for lunch comes a few picture opportunities.  You get one print package with Cinderella herself, which Catherine took advantage of, and you get picture opportunities with a handful of other princesses during your meal.

And, while the meal was mostly for Catherine, Charlie couldn’t help getting in on the action.  Can you blame him?

Lunch will set you back a whopping $49.99 for an adult, and $31.99 for children.  That includes the aforementioned picture with Cinderella, but you’ve been warned this lunch isn’t cheap.
