GIVEAWAY: United Beverage Vouchers

I’ve got a LOT of beverage vouchers to give away.  20, to be exact, thanks to 10 from David H.  So, to make things easy, I’ll select 10 winners who will each get two drinks a piece.

To enter for a chance to win, leave a comment below with either a travel tip or a place that’s on your bucket list/favorite place to travel.  As long as you’re sticking to those rules you can enter as many times as you like.  I’ll pick winners on Friday, March 13th (Friday the 13th, yikes!).

  1. My favorite tip is to fly out of tiny regional airports when we’re going to a domestic destination instead of flung out of the giant int’l airport
I live near. Totally worth a several-hour drive to save a grand or more.

  2. if you fly from Taipei to the states with United rewards be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the list. Down there you can find flights that stopover in EUROPE rather than fly over the Pacific. Spending 10 days in Europe on my way home this summer!!!

  3. Favorite tip is to use Singapore miles to book UA domestic flights for a usual savings of about 5K miles. Top spot on my bucket list is Alaska-Denali and to see the Aurora

  4. Myanmar (Burma) is definitely on my “place to visit” list. I just got back from a 2-week trip there. People were so friendly. Unfortunately, I only spent 2 days in Bagan, a fantastic area for temples. I will definitely go back.

  5. My travel tip is about toothpaste…. I always see friends or family buy the tiny travel size toothpaste bottle that normally lasts about 3 days. If you travel weekly this can become a pretty big nuisance. Instead, I always go with you the 5.5 or 4 oz size bottle. It lasts much longer, is more cost effective, and you are allowed to pack with your carry on!

  6. I definitely want to go somewhere and stay in one of those huts/bungalows over the water…Fiji, Maldives, etc.

For now, I’m collecting Ultimate Rewards points to so we can fly in one of those awesome Singapore Suites…

  7. Worth noting that these vouchers have expiration dates printed on them (January 31 of the following year) but I’ve been told by UA flight attendants they ]accept expired certificates – apparently this is a policy (i.e. there was a memo to flight attendants to this effect), not just FAs being nice.

  8. Still haven’t been to New Zealand, but I’m dying to go there. Now that I’ve moved from the East Coast to the West Coast, I’m a bit closer!

  9. I’d like to explore more of Brazil. I’ve seen Florianopolis and Sao Paulo, but both of those were for business.

  10. United means crazy cheap award flight to me in Japan.
I booked book NRT – ICN – SYD – AKL – NOU (NRT – SYD in C cabin) with 20k miles
    and NOU – AKL – HKG – OSA – HND 12.5k miles.
Now it takes 30k for C but 12.5k is still available for economy.
Other destination in Oceania such as Tahiti and Rarotonga are also available with same mileage.

I will fly to US coming week end in economy without complementary beer and wine .
It’s a shame to treat trans pacific customer!

  11. I have always wanted to travel to the British Virgin Islands. One of these days, I am going to do that by cruise or just a straight land tour!

  12. My husband I will travel to Thailand this May to have a Thai traditional wedding after we already had American Wedding here in Virginia two years ago. I am excited to got back to my hometown, Thailand again.
