Daily Getaways Breakdown For Tuesday, June 3rd: Loews Hotels

Today’s Daily Getaway deal is from Loews Hotels.  These are package deals, mostly for specific hotels as opposed to just selling points like some of the other hotel companies participating in Daily Getaways.  There are some reasonable deals and the quantities available are fairly limited.

In case you’re not familiar, Daily Getaways are daily deals sponsored by the US Travel Association.  Some are better than others, so you need to think about whether you can take full advantage of the offer before buying.

For the more popular offers, they will sell out quickly, which means being around right when they go on sale each day at 1:00 pm EDT.  Some offers will sell out in hours, some in minutes.  It’s also important to be patient.  If you click shortly after an offer becomes available and it shows sold out, keep trying.  Someone may have an offer in their shopping cart but change their mind or have their computer crash.  When that happens, their bad luck or change of heart can be your good fortune.

Finally, make sure you pay with an American Express card to save an additional 10%.  Any AMEX card will do.

Feel free to e-mail me or post questions in the comments section.  Good luck chasing the deals you’re looking for!

2 nights in a suite at Loews Regency in New York City for $999 (with 10% discount for paying with an AMEX card):

These are not restricted to a weekend and are redeemable through the end of June, 2015, though they are subject to unspecified blackout dates.  The cheapest rate I could find for a suite at this property was $600 with prices going up considerably from there for some dates and suite types.

2 nights at a Four Diamond Loews Resort for $315 (with 10% discount for paying with an AMEX card):

This covers 4 properties:

Loews Miami Beach Resort, Miami Beach, FL

Loews Don Cesar Resort, St. Pete Beach, FL

Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando

Loews Coronado Bay Resort, Coronado Bay, CA

These are not restricted to a weekend and are redeemable through the end of June, 2015, though they are subject to unspecified blackout dates.  All of these properties feature rates that are consistently at or above $300 a night, so if these properties are on your radar there are very good deals to be had here.

2 nights at one of these is Luxury Loews Hotel for $247.50 (with 10% discount for paying with an AMEX card):

The rates are all over the board for these properties but there are a number of opportunities to save $100 or more using this deal.

2 nights in a Grand King Suite for $999 (with 10% discount for paying with an AMEX card):

These are not restricted to a weekend and are redeemable through the end of June, 2015, though they are subject to unspecified blackout dates.  I didn’t find anything specifically listed as a Grand King Suite.  The cheapest suites are anywhere from $700-$900 a night on a regular basis.  It’s a pricey stay, but if you’re looking for a weekend away in California this deal saves a bunch of cash.

2 nights in an Ocean View Suite in Miami Beach for $999 (with 10% discount for paying with an AMEX card):

These are not restricted to a weekend and are redeemable through the end of June, 2015, though they are subject to unspecified blackout dates.  Again, I couldn’t find something labeled an “Ocean View Suite”.  Suites generally go for $550 a night or higher.  Given the vagueness of the description and the price of suites at this property I’d probably stay away from this offer.

Bottom Line It For Me, Ed

There are some values in the Loews deals, to be sure.  Be wary of blackout dates and plan carefully if you’re planning to check out these deals.
