Hyatt Regency Cancun To Lose Their Flag At End Of April

Reader David H. shared that Hyatt Regency Cancun is losing its flag at the end of the month and the Hyatt website reflects this news:

Their Flag

Poking around the internet I don’t see a ton of bad stuff, though there are some complaints and the property seems dated.  Hyatt will still have a property in the market, though the Zilara is adults-only, which precludes me from a family trip there (though I didn’t have any plans to head to Cancun).

Never a big fan of less places to redeem points.

  1. Hyatt Cancun has had issues with charging people the correct amount. Hyatt keeps chasing them down in my behalf to no avail. Found more people with the same issue. There was also something very shady feeling about it when we were there.

    1. Jeanne, that’s pretty much exactly what I found out after reading a bit more. Disappointing, but if Hyatt acted on that behavior by kicking them out I’m happy they’re protecting their brand and customers.
