Tomorrow Is The Last Day To Use Your Hyatt Diamond Suite Upgrades

For those of you with Hyatt Diamond status, February 28th is the last day you can redeem Diamond suite upgrades that you received in 2013.  These upgrades are one of my favorite parts of the Hyatt program.

Hyatt gives Diamond members 4 of these certificates every year.  What makes them so special is the ability to confirm a suite at the time of booking. As long as there’s an appropriate suite available, you’re all set.  In fact, the only downside for me is that you can’t use these upgrades on award bookings.

I’m also a Starwood Preferred Guest Platinum member and receive their equivalent, Suite Night Awards.  It’s a relatively new benefit, just shy of 2 years old.  I’ve had a lot of trouble using these upgrades.  Based on Starwood’s recent announcement, I doubt I’m the only one.

If you haven’t used all your Hyatt Diamond suite upgrades, you can apply them to a reservation in the future.  They don’t have to be “used” by tomorrow in terms of completing your stay.  You just have to book a reservation and apply the certificate.  If you change the date in the future, you’ll lose the upgrade.

Hyatt properties have some really nice suites.  Here’s a couple that I had the good fortune to enjoy this past year:

If you still have suite upgrades to redeem, don’t let them go to waste!
