Apple Offering More Miles For Buying Through Airline Shopping Portals

I thought it was a bit odd when US Airways had an offer last week for a one-day special of 2 miles per dollar on Apple products.  Apple has been pretty steady at 1 mile per dollar on the airline shopping portals for quite some time.

Then I received an e-mail from the American Airlines AAdvantage shopping portal offering 2 miles/dollar through March 4th.

That made me curious and I checked the United MileagePlus shopping portal and the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal.  Both now have Apple listed at 2 miles/dollar with no expiration.

That’s a nice plus, though I wish they had this when I bought my new laptop a couple months ago!  If you’re thinking about making a run to the Apple store for accessories, power cords, or even a new iPad, you’re better off buying it through one of the shopping portals (and doubly better now!).
