Andaz Peninsula Papagayo In Costa Rica Opens Their Doors

One of the reasons Hyatt is tops on my list of hotel chains is because they keep opening compelling new properties.  You’ve got some great new urban properties.  For example, we really enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Union Square.  There are solid initial reports about Hyatt Times Square as well.

For more luxurious destinations, Hyatt launched all-inclusive properties focused on adults only (check out Heels First Travel’s look at Hyatt Zilara Cancun) and families (website for Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos).  Not to be forgotten is Andaz Maui.

And now, Andaz Peninsula Papagayo has opened their doors in Costa Rica.  This property is high on my list.  Andaz is a high quality label inside Hyatt and I’ve enjoyed quite a few Andaz stays.  I checked availability for our upcoming spring break vacation and the property was already completely sold out.  Given, it’s only 153 guest rooms but I was sure disappointed to postpone my first visit to this property.

The property is a Category 6, so it will set you back 25,000 points after the award chart changes go into affect in January.
