A Small Plus:Earn And Burn On Iberia Express For AA Customers

American Airlines and Iberia Express announced a code-sharing agreement this week.

Not monumental, since AA already has an agreement with the larger Iberia Airlines.  And, while I wouldn’t want to collect Avios (the former currency of just British Airways and now joint currency of both airlines), using Madrid as a transfer point to get to other places in Europe can save some pretty staggering landing fees for premium awards in London.

And, Iberia Express doesn’t have a ton of flights although a few interesting cities like Amsterdam and Naples (looks like only 1 or 2 frequencies a week) as well as some smaller cities in Spain that can be tough to find flights to.

But, extra options are always better.
