A Reasonable Summer Promotion From Hilton

I’m a bit late on reporting this, but Hilton has a double/triple points promotion in place for the summer.  Double points isn’t all that exciting considering that Hilton points aren’t all that valuable.  The triple points is more appetizing, but only valid for the weekend.

This strikes me as a good offer for families taking to the road for vacation this summer.  There are tons of Hilton family properties (Hampton Inn & Homewood Suites, specifically) near major highways throughout the US.  Earning triple points for a long weekend away will go a long way to making the next trip free.

As View From the Wing points out, this isn’t the most lucrative promo in history, and it’s watered down a bit by a LONG list of properties not participating.

But, it beats a sharp stick in the eye and I’ll likely use the promo for a stay where I have a choice between only Hilton and Priority Club coming up in about a month in Canada.
