I grew up in the Northeast and have always been a Dunkin Donuts fan. Their slow march to expand throughout the rest of the country has been met with many happy smiles from transplanted New Yorkers. When the first Las Vegas location opened, there was a 2-hour wait and they actually ran out of coffee.
There are already two Dunkin locations at IAD, in the “new” A terminal and in D. Neither is very convenient for my travels and the lines are always pretty long. But, they’ve just opened a third location, and it’s in a very convenient spot. Additional upside is that the visibility sucks, so most people won’t find it. When I strolled through the airport this morning, there was nobody in line, which is never the case at the other Dunkins.
So, how do you find it? Well, the easiest way is to go through the Dulles Diamond security line. Then, instead of heading down the escalators to the train, go just a bit further and you’ll see it hiding by the entrance to the old people movers.
For those going through regular security, take the escalators up to the Z gates, and you should see it when you get off the escalator. Enjoy!
